Aconcagua in the Andes of Argentina is the highest mountain in the Americas. Although it is considered a non-technical climb (not absolutely requiring ropes and technical gear), the elevation and intense weather gathered by the mountain makes it a challenge to any mountaineer. My painting, created in the studio from a photo taken by a climber high on the approach, is large and dramatic.
Studio watercolor by Kim Solga.
22 inches by 30 inches on Arches cold press paper.
Original painting: $570
