Lake Wakatipu is found on New Zealand’s South Island. Across the turquoise waters of the lake are rugged mountains with small waterfalls on every face. The trailhead for the Routeburn Track, one of New Zealand’s Great Walks, is nearby. Queenstown, New Zealand’s great outdoors center, lies further down the lake.
Lake Wakatipu from Glenorchy is an original watercolor painted from a meadow outside of Glenorchy. The painting is enhanced with fine pen and ink work. It is a tribute to the incredible beauty of New Zealand and the landscape of South Island.
