Yes, you can order a special painting. Commissions are a challenge and offer rewards for both artist and client. I am happy to work from photos or subjects. You can suggest a certain kind of flower, a particular location. You can commission a painting created from a favorite photograph. Heck, you can even send me out on location, if the destination is appealing. I invite your inquiries, whether they be your own favorite flowers, mountains, river, lake, or a painting to commemorate a location or event in your life. Please write or email if you're interested.

Wild Sweetpea This painting was comissioned by a friend as a gift for his wife. Each spring he brings her a bouquet of wild sweetpeas...the first he can find from sunny banks along the Sacramento River south of town...weeks before the same flowers bloom in our local fields and roadsides. One Christmas he comissioned a sweetpea painting, yet another expression of their long tradition.
